Two US speedboat pilots set a new speed record for this vehicle on Thursday by crossing the stretch of ocean between the American city of Key West and the Cuban capital in just 1 hour and 18 minutes. Experienced riders Nigel Hook and Jay Johnson cruised to more than 100 miles per hour at the entrance to Havana Bay after cruising the Florida Straits and setting a new speed record.
