Conceived from Experience
SilverHook began with Nigel Hook’s decades of offshore racing experience and a clear objective: build a purpose-designed mono-hull for speed, efficiency and safety.
Nigel’s experience shaped the boat from the earliest design work, translating years of racing into the hull, cockpit, systems and overall concept.
SilverHook was conceived from experience before it was ever built.

DESIGNED & ENGINEERED
SilverHook’s design evolved through a collaborative CAD process, combining Nigel Hook’s offshore racing experience with specialized engineering expertise.
The Mannerfelt Design Team developed the hull and deck, while Mystic Powerboats designed the canopy system. McLaren Racing conducted aerodynamic analysis to study airflow, lift, drag and stability at speed.
Each element was developed as part of one integrated high-performance design.

BUILT IN CARBON
Once the design was finalized, Marine Concepts used 5-axis equipment to create the plug and mold for SilverHook.
Structural engineer Mark Bishop developed the lamination schedule, using carbon fiber over foam cores and vacuum-bagged epoxy construction to produce a strong, lightweight offshore race boat.
Every major structural element was engineered as part of the complete design.

SAFETY BY DESIGN
Safety was engineered into SilverHook from the beginning.
The cockpit is surrounded by carbon fiber and Kevlar, with an integrated roll structure, reinforced windscreen and twin escape hatches. Harness mounting points, fire suppression, emergency systems and other safety features were incorporated into the boat as part of the original design.
For SilverHook, safety was not an add-on. It was part of the structure.
